Toronto Tempo guard Kiki Rice named to 2026 WNBA All-Rookie squad
Rice averaged 13.4 points and ranked fourth among rookies after returning from a Grade 3 ankle sprain.
On Wednesday, the WNBA named Toronto Tempo guard Kiki Rice to the 2026 WNBA All-Rookie team, recognizing her strong debut season performance.
During her debut season, Rice appeared in 28 games with 20 starts, averaging 13.4 points and 3.7 rebounds while shooting 47.2 per cent from the field, ranking fourth among rookies in scoring.
After sustaining a Grade 3 left ankle sprain on June 3, Rice missed nearly two months but returned July 28 and scored in double figures in 12 of her final 13 games, including a career-high 28 points against the Connecticut Sun.
Toronto Tempo general manager Monica Wright Rogers commended Rice's "talent, poise and work ethic," noting Rice was selected sixth overall in the 2026 WNBA Draft, the franchise's first draft pick.
This selection follows Rice's inclusion on The Associated Press's all-rookie team last month, cementing her status as a foundational player for the Toronto organization.
