- On Friday, April 17, TODAY co-host Sheinelle Jones celebrated her 48th birthday with a surprise cake from co-host Jenna Bush Hager featuring the cover of her new book, Through Mom's Eyes.
- Jones delayed the book's release to care for her late husband, Uche Ojeh, who died of brain cancer in May 2025, and their three children: Kayin, 16, and twins Clara and Uche Jr., 13.
- Earlier this week, Kayin, Clara, and Uche Jr. surprised their mother on TODAY, marking their first appearance since their father's death. Kayin told Jones, "We've obviously gone through so much, and I'm so happy for you."
