In Europe, almost one in four people still smoke despite the anti-smoking policies which are carried out, according to European statistics. Here are the five countries of the European Union with the largest number of smokers. Greece, the fifth of this ranking, Greece has 22.6% of its population who smoke daily, 12.7 points more than in the Netherlands, the European Union with the lowest number of smokers.
