To the editor: Jim Hoops’ opponent crossed line

I’ve known Jim Hoops for years, and I have been closely watching his race for state Senate. I am deeply concerned about the direction his opponent has taken in this campaign. It’s started with attacks on Jim’s record, but recently it has crossed a line.
