Karner Announces Further Individual Deportations to Syria

Minister of the Interior Gerhard Karner (ÖVP) stands for the deportation of the first Syrian from Austria to his home country since the refugee wave in 2015/16 and has announced in individual cases further deportations of Syrians who have become criminals to Syria. There will be "no mass deportations", but "criminals and perpetrators must be deported consistently," said Karner in Vienna on Monday.
