Tinubu Departs Paris After Working Vacation In Europe
He will hold strategic meetings with political leaders in Lagos as opposition criticism grows over his extended absence and return plans.
On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu departed Paris, France, for Nigeria, ending a working vacation lasting at least 30 days, with his aircraft expected to arrive at Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, this evening.
Tinubu departed Abuja on August 30 expecting a 21-day return, but his arrival was rescheduled at least two times, prompting opposition parties to question his whereabouts and health status.
While in Europe, President Tinubu attended a private dinner with President Emmanuel Macron and met business leaders including Vincent Bollor and Femi Otedola; last week, he witnessed an Ogun State Government Memorandum of Understanding signing.
Upon arrival in Lagos, President Tinubu will honor the memory of Chief MKO Abiola at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre and conduct strategic meetings regarding 2027 elections before returning to Abuja.
The President spent one week in London before heading to Paris, and his return to Nigeria concludes the working vacation, with political engagements now shifting to Lagos and Abuja.
