Canadian 'Youngblood' Remake, Charli XCX Drama Added to TIFF's International Lineup
TORONTO, CANADA, AUG 5 – TIFF 2025 Centrepiece program includes 19 world premieres and honors late filmmaker Charles Officer with Youngblood, a reimagined hockey drama directed by Hubert Davis.
- On Aug. 5, 2025, the Toronto International Film Festival announced its Centrepiece programme, featuring 55 titles running from Sept. 4 to 14.
- To recognize Charles Officer, TIFF spotlighted his final feature Youngblood, which premiered as a tribute after his death in December 2023.
- Highlighting new works, TIFF features Blue Moon, Erupcja and Good Boy, with Blue Moon led by Ethan Hawke and Margaret Qualley, and Erupcja starring Charli XCX.
- Highlighting global cinema, TIFF unveiled 55 titles from close to 50 countries, including works by Richard Linklater, Christian Petzold, Anders Thomas Jensen, Pietro Marcello and Álvaro Olmos Torrico.
