A federal-state working group is to clarify how the state should deal with officials who are AfD members. Thuringia's Interior Minister Georg Maier (SPD) considers the current plans to be insufficient – and criticizes Federal Minister of the Interior Alexander Dobrindt (CSU).
Should the AfD be classified as extreme right, it needs clear guidelines in the public service according to Thuringia's Interior Minister. Individual examinations were not enough.
