Three questions about: Why are more and more young people unemployed?
The proportion of people registered with the employment service aged 18-24 was 8.1 percent in February this year. This is an increase from the same period last year when 7.8 percent of the age group were unemployed, which is partly explained by the current recession. “The group of young people is particularly sensitive to changes in the economy,” notes Elvira Josefsson, labour market analyst at the Employment Service.
