As of June 2026, a restriction on takeaway alcohol sales between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM will apply across Warsaw. The first three months of the new rules saw a decline in alcohol-related incidents. Both the Municipal Police and the police intervened less frequently. At the same time, the city saw no significant changes in the number of permits or alcohol sales outlets.
For almost a year, a nighttime ban on alcohol sales in shops and gas stations has been in effect in seven Łódź neighborhoods. The ban is in effect from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Police data shows that the number of alcohol-related offenses and interventions across Łódź decreased during the summer. However, the city guard noted a significant increase in such incidents.
