Three men jailed after 'brutal attack' in Glasgow after Ibrox Old Firm clash
Three Rangers supporters—Scott Dragsness, Ben Stanex, and Andrew Graham—were jailed Wednesday for a total of three-and-a-half years following a sectarian attack on Celtic fan Bruce Craik outside Ibrox Stadium.
The incident occurred on March 8, 2026, following a Scottish Cup quarter-final match between Rangers and Celtic, when Craik was assaulted while attempting to board a supporters' bus.
During the "ferocious" assault, attackers shouted sectarian slurs and punched the 48-year-old victim, repeatedly stamping on his head until he lost consciousness with a brain bleed.
Sheriff Andrew McIntyre sentenced Dragsness to 18 months imprisonment while Stanex and Graham each received 12-month terms, alongside seven-year football banning orders preventing UK ground access.
Procurator Fiscal Fraser Gibson described the violence as a "blight on Scotland's communities," stating those involved in sectarian disorder "can expect to be held accountable by COPFS, Police Scotland and the courts.
