Three young men, aged 14, 15 and 19, died early Wednesday morning after their car skidded off a curve and crashed into a swimming pool at their home in the southern French town of Alès. The youngest of the boys was behind the wheel, and nitrous oxide, a drug also known as laughing gas, was found in the car, according to Le Parisien.
A tragic accident occurred in the Gard (Alès). Three young people in a car fell into a swimming pool and lost their lives. The prosecutor referred to a "competition of implausible circumstances." Bottles of nitrous oxide were found in the vehicle.
The rescue could not save the three occupants of the vehicle, who finished their race in a private pool without knowing the circumstances of the accident at the moment.
The facts occurred during the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, on the side of Alès. Their car was found back to the bottom of a private swimming pool.
