Early morning snowstorm leaves parts of Billings without power

Thousands of houses across Billings lost power Thursday morning after a wet, spring snowstorm dropped more than 5 inches of heavy snow on the region.

La Savoie experienced abundant snowfalls during the night of Wednesday to Thursday. In some stations, more than a metre fell.

About 1,800 customers are still without power in Restigouche County after more than 25 centimetres of wet heavy snow fell earlier in the day.

BILLINGS, Mont. – The City of Billings Public Works has issued a traffic advisory following a snowstorm that has knocked out several traffic signals around the city.

Snow continues to fall in Savoie and Haute-Savoie on Thursday 17 April. 6,400 homes were deprived of electricity due to cut cables.
