The Hungarian government is launching a program to help diesel car drivers due to the sharp rise in fuel prices, with payments of 5,000 forints per month starting in September.

The Hungarian Tax Administration automatically pays a certain amount to those who meet the conditions

Hungary will pay owners of weaker diesel cars 5,000 forints (around 13 euros) per month until the end of this year, aiming to mitigate the consequences of the sharp rise in fuel prices on the market.

Owners of diesel cars with up to 150 horsepower will receive 5,000 forints per month until the end of the year, and the money will be paid to them automatically, without having to apply.
