Warhammer Survivors Is a New Twist on Indie Smash Hit Vampire Survivors — and It's Developed in Partnership With Poncle
Warhammer Survivors blends Vampire Survivors' pixel-vomit gameplay with Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar universes, featuring multiple characters and weapons from the franchise.
- Auroch Digital and poncle revealed Warhammer Survivors via a trailer, confirming an official licensed partnership and announcing the game arrives next year, available to wishlist on Steam now.
- Drawing on Vampire Survivors’ formula, Auroch Digital built Warhammer Survivors using poncle's engine and drew on Auroch's decade of Warhammer projects, the developers said.
- Playable characters include Malum Caedo, Cadian Shock Trooper Trooper Kozlowski, and Brother Luca, while weapons like the Boltgun and Citadel Nuln Oil face enemies Tyranids and Skaven with skull-shaped experience gems.
- As a run-based roguelite, Warhammer Survivors lets players combine and evolve weapons and powerups across multiple modes and stages, with additional playable characters to be revealed in the coming months, the press release said.
