THERE were two Croatian citizens in the VEHICLE, a driver and a passenger.
An inspection of the vehicle revealed unauthorized technical modifications. Namely, the original fuel tank had been removed from the car, and an improvised metal tank with a capacity of only ten liters had been installed in its place.
Criminal charges were filed against the perpetrator, and the vehicle and tobacco were confiscated.
A vehicle was searched in the Atakum district of Samsun. During the search, 60 kilograms of chopped, smuggled tobacco were seized.
The original fuel tank had been removed and replaced with a makeshift metal tank with a capacity of only 10 liters. 60 kilograms of finely cut tobacco were found in the converted space.
