The cause of the series of poisonings among preschoolers is now known. The Limanowa Sanitary and Epidemiological Station reported that the bacteria was found in pancakes with cottage cheese and peaches. The source is still being determined. Three of the 22 young patients remain hospitalized.

Pancakes with cottage cheese and peaches were the cause of salmonella poisoning in 28 children from three preschools in Limanowa and surrounding towns in the Małopolska region, reports Maciej Pałahicki, a reporter for RMF FM. The local sanitary and epidemiological station confirmed that 22 children were hospitalized due to the infection, three of whom remain there.
