More than 3000 meters above sea level, a group of Argentine paleontologists found in the precordillera of La Rioja the almost complete skeleton of a dinosaur that inhabited the region some 230 million years ago. The species, baptized Huayracurador jaguensis, corresponds to the Late Triassic, a crucial stage in the history of the planet, marked by the appearance of the first dinosaurs and the ancestors of mammals.
