Dallas Has the Most World Cup Matches of the 16 Sites with 9 at the Home of the Cowboys
Dallas-Fort Worth will stage nine matches at AT&T Stadium, including a semifinal, as Argentina and England are set to play there.
- Dallas Stadium in Arlington will host nine World Cup matches, more than any of the 16 sites in the tournament co-hosted by the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Japan plays the Netherlands on June 14, with a semifinal scheduled for July 14.
- Cowboys owner Jerry Jones designed the 80,000-seat stadium with standing-room platforms inspired by his visits to Europe. The Dallas Cowboys had hoped to host the World Cup final but secured more matches than any other venue instead.
- Arlington lacks mass transportation, so officials implemented a bus system connecting the Trinity Railway Express stop nearest the stadium. Officials recommend using a "GoPass" as the best way to access and pay for transportation.
- Fair Park, home of the Cotton Bowl, serves as the official fan site just east of downtown Dallas. The 277-acre park features a main stage amphitheater and ample space for fans to explore during the tournament.
- Beyond the stadium, visitors can experience North Texas culture at the Fort Worth Stockyards or the JFK assassination site. Fans can also visit Texas Live near Globe Life Field or catch a Texas Rangers baseball game during the monthlong tournament.
