At the end of the 20th century, before Reykjavík became the colorful city it is today, two groups appeared on the city's streets and in the media, who in different ways disrupted the tranquility of a small, established community: punks with provocative music, cockscombs and spray-painted hair, and homosexuals who began to take their place after decades of silence and invisibility.
