On Sept. 11, 2001, 19 criminals from the Middle East hijacked passenger jets and flew them into buildings in New York and Arlington, Virginia. They killed 3,000 people and caused millions of dollars in property damage. Several lessons have been drawn from that act. Some of those lessons made sense. Some lessons spectacularly did not.
