The start of the week greeted us with exceptionally rainy weather across much of the country. The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) has issued warnings for heavy rainfall and strong winds for parts of the country. We're checking where the rain will fall and what weather to expect in the coming days.
A weather front bringing rain and storms is moving into Poland. Second-level warnings have been issued for three voivodeships.
The weather will deteriorate in Poland in the coming hours. The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) predicts heavy rainfall. Thunderstorms are also possible.
Due to the disturbing weather situation in Poland, a briefing of services and voivodes was called, who met with representatives of the Ministry of Interior and Administration and the Government Security Council.
A briefing at the Government Security Center on the weather situation in the country has concluded. Heavy rainfall is forecast for the Lower Silesian, Lubusz, Greater Poland, and West Pomeranian Voivodeships. Following the meeting, Deputy Minister of the Interior and Administration Wiesław Leśniakiewicz presented the findings.
After several warmer days, the weather is changing again. Rain will arrive in Poland on Sunday, bringing with it cooler air. The unfavorable weather will continue into the early part of the week.
