The General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) issued yellow and orange code warnings for 35 provinces, including Istanbul, due to expected rainfall affecting the Marmara region, Western and Central Black Sea, Eastern Mediterranean, and Central Anatolia. Meteorology expert Orhan Şen also stated, "We are expecting heavy rainfall; it could turn into a disaster."
Heavy rainfall, which has been affecting some districts of Istanbul since the morning hours, has negatively impacted daily life. AKOM announced that the rainfall will intensify in the coming hours, accompanied by strong winds blowing at speeds of 20 to 50 kilometers per hour.
