State-run clinics in northwestern Russia’s Vologda region are illegally denying women abortions, a local lawmaker said Thursday.

The prosecutor's office noted that data on facts related to refusals of medical care for abortion can be submitted at a personal appointment with the prosecutor on duty, via the hotline, or by sending an appropriate application to the department.

Alexander Morozov, a member of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, was approached by three Vologda women who were refused an abortion by local hospitals. 7x7 drew attention to this.
