The Vietnamese mixed air rifle team – consisting of two athletes, Phi Thanh Thao and Nguyen Tam Quang – suffered a shock after finishing their qualifying round on the morning of September 22nd at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
Despite their best efforts, Phi Thanh Thao/Nguyen Tam Quang finished fourth in the qualifying round of the mixed doubles air rifle event at ASIAD 20, but were eliminated at the last minute.
