Krasnodar Vice Governor Arrested on Fraud Charges
The vice governor of the southern Krasnodar region was placed in pre-trial detention on Tuesday, as state prosecutors detailed a sprawling corruption case involving illegal business mergers, hidden cash and more than $1 billion in seized assets.
The Leninsky District Court of Krasnodara has filed a claim for payment to the State of property belonging to the family of the Deputy Governor of Krasnodar province, Andrei Korobka, and associated persons, as reported by the joint press service of the ordinary courts of the region on Monday, 6 April, according to TASS, the corruption assets of the Deputy Governor are estimated at 10 billion roubles.
