Italy and Denmark Consider Denouncing the ECHR's Influence on Migration Policies in Europe

According to the Euractiv news agency, the two countries plan to unite a group of states around a text denouncing the role played by the ECHR in preventing any tightening of migration policies.

The Danish government, together with the Italian government, is leading the way in putting pressure on the European Court of Human Rights. They want to pave the way for more national self-determination in terms of asylum policy.
