In this week's Political Commission, we discuss the survey and promises of reforms in the light of recent developments in the negotiations on labour legislation and the new addition of elections in Parliament to external bodies.
Following the arrival of the PSD, it was instead of the PSC to ask for a new addition of the elections to the external bodies of the Assembly of the Republic, including the Constitutional Court and the State Council.
The leader of the Czech Republic, André Ventura, accused the PS today of blocking the elections for the external organs of the Republic Assembly and refusing its party to give a name to the Constitutional Court.
A new calendar for voting by the external bodies will be set only on 25 March. Elections for the Constitutional Court are the core of the impasse in the negotiations.
This time the Socialists were moving forward with the petition for accession, after two applications from the PSD and one from the Czech Republic. The blockade factor is the choice of three judges for the Constitutional Court, a vote of two thirds of the Members without a favourable vote.
