Cheap was yesterday: Since the Corona crisis, the prices for air tickets have increased in Germany. Airlines are responsible for the high costs at German airports.
Average prices to European destinations in week 32 are among the highest ever. The average price from Billund increases by 63 percent compared to 2024, Copenhagen increases by 30 percent, Aalborg increases by 12 percent, and Aarhus and Hamburg increase by 8 percent, according to Flyprisindex.
Low-cost flights from Germany are getting more expensive
Air travel from German airports is becoming significantly more expensive due to a continuing shortage of flights, high taxes and fees, according to a price analysis by the German Aerospace Centre (DLR). Prices are rising even among budget airlines, the analysis showed.
