Former Green MEP Daniel Cohn-Bendit, a historic figure on the French left, on Monday threw his support behind Raphaël Glucksmann for France’s April-May 2027 presidential election, in an interview with Le Point magazine.
When asked about the charisma of the MEP, Daniel Cohn-Bendit says that it is better to talk about a project. "It is a matter of building a future project to position itself from 2027 until 2032," he says.
“Within the reformist left, he is the only one adopting a new stance that opens up a future prospect for a social-ecological or eco-social left. He must be supported, not opposed,” said the former leader of the May 1968 student movement.
