For David Fray, a pianist, music must be accessible, both from a cultural and a social point of view. Through the festival the musical offer he organizes, he wants to accelerate the inclusiveness of people with disabilities and to raise public awareness of this cause.
Last Saturday, in Nouakchott, the eighth edition of the Arden Festival, organized this year under the slogan "Singing the Musical Heritage and Preservation of Identity," was opened. The three-day program of the festival includes music links to the Arden machine, as well as a theatre show and dances of folk folklore that reflect the richness and diversity of Mauritanian music.
