The chairman of the departmental council of Finistère Maël de Calan was accused of "institutional moral harassment" by the CGT and six RSA beneficiaries.
Maël de Calan, close to Edouard Philippe, had been summoned to appear by the CGT and several recipients of this minimum income because of controls they considered intrusive and humiliating.
Since his election in 2021, Maël de Calan has seen the number of RSA contractors drop by a quarter in his department. For the CGT, which was appointed in court, this is the result of a policy marked by "intrusive" and "humiliating" controls. The court has not gone in the direction of the union.
Maël de Calan and an executive of the department were accused of "institutional moral harassment" in the context of the controls of RSA beneficiaries.
A busy judicial week awaits the president of the departmental council of Finistère, Maël de Calan. First appointment, this Monday, with the deliberation of the court of Brest on the policy of control of the RSA in the department.
