- "In these circumstances, even though I have a great deal of respect for Vincent Marissal, I must apply the principles that guide the Parti without exception," St-Pierre Plamondon said, emphasizing zero-tolerance on ethical questions.
- The party will announce a replacement candidate in Taschereau on Thursday, just two days after Marissal was named the candidate for the riding that previously supported the Parti for decades.
- Marissal previously sat as an Independent since leaving Solidaire last year, joining the Parti on Monday after serving as St-Pierre Plamondon's desk neighbour in the Blue Room at the National Assembly.
