The minister of the Segpres, along with his peers Claudio Alvarado and Martín Arrau, received this Sunday night the helmsmen of the ruling party to coordinate the security agenda of the government and in particular to address the discussion for the constitutional reform that has strained the sector and bet is based only on the Senate Constitution Committee.
The vice presidents of both communities harshly criticized the Executive's proposal. While from the PL they point to "anxiety" and technical ignorance after an inefficient project, from the PS they point to a "authoritarian" background that seeks to concentrate powers and violate the separation of powers.
The resistance within the ruling party itself forced the government to slow down its security reform and open up to changes to seek the 29 votes in the Senate. Currency will lower the urgency and bring the negotiation to the Constitution Commission.
