VIENNA. Over a quarter of the 18- to 74-year-olds in Austria feel at least sometimes lonely, almost every tenth (eight percent) perceives this emotion always or mostly.
According to the study, nearly two million people are affected. Those who are ill, living alone and in the city are more often affected. Social media increase frustration.
