The composition of the new Mauritanian government was revealed on the evening of Saturday, 10 October. Returned to office the day before by the Head of State, outgoing Prime Minister Moctar Ould Diay set up a team of 29 ministers. Involved in the fires of the two power plants in Somelec that occurred at the end of August in Nouakchott, the outgoing Minister of Energy, Mohamed Ould Khaled, is not part of it.
The composition of the new government was announced in Nouakchott under the chairmanship of Mukhtar Ould Ajay, who was commissioned last Friday by the President of the Republic, Mohamed Ould Sheikh Al-Fagorani, to form it again hours after the resignation of his Government.
