An “unsightly” abandoned building on the main drag of a Wheatbelt town is on its way to a revamp as the shire gets the ball rolling to breathe new life into the site after nearly a decade.
The Sarmiento and July 9 building, where the headquarters of the Second Army Corps functioned, was blocked and remains under permanent control, after claims of occupation and vandalism.
Following complaints made by neighbors, the Municipality intervened in the building located in the corner of Sarmiento and 9 de Julio, where the headquarters of the Second Army Corps, which was in an important state of abandonment, was once in operation.
