At midnight begins the three-day ceasefire, which the Kremlin unilaterally announced. In fact, drone swarms don't move across Ukraine like usual that night. However, the weapons do not seem to be completely silent.

The Kremlin is convinced that Putin's proposal for a so-called “truce” during the celebration of the Victory anniversary is allegedly still in force.

"We are not withdrawing this proposal. It could open the door to diplomacy," Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video address.
