There will be no new investigation into the murder in Knutby in 2004. According to the Attorney General, the new information that has come to light is not sufficient to apply for a retrial or to resume the preliminary investigation.
The so-called nanny requested that the investigation into the Knutby case be reopened after a review that pointed to several alleged shortcomings. Now the Attorney General says no, because it does not believe that any new evidence is being presented. – Looking at old material and making an assessment is not in a legal sense to be considered new circumstances or evidence, says Chief Prosecutor Mats Svensson.
