The Inspectorate Will Prevent the Self-Employed From Applying the Prompt Payment if They Receive Penalties for Accidents at Work

The Government has included this change in the preliminary draft reform of the Occupational Risks Prevention Act, approved by the Council of Ministers in the first round, with the intention of strengthening the treatment of the most serious violations in the field of occupational safety. The amendment would affect one of the mechanisms most used so far by SMEs to reduce the economic impact of certain sanctions: the early payment discount.
