The great Paris tourist rip-off exposed by a fake American

ÎLE-DE-FRANCE, FRANCE, JUL 24 – Paris cafes near the Eiffel Tower overcharge American tourists by serving cheaper drinks at premium prices and confusing tipping rules, with bills differing by up to €10, consumer advocates say.

After tourists in Paris complained online about being overcharged in the French capital, a local newspaper sent out a bona fide Parisian to a cafe near the Eiffel Tower – and another reporter dressed like a tourist.
