Atlantic salmon stocks in Spain have fallen more than 80% in ten years (2015-2024) and the situation of the species in the country is much more serious than in general, according to data collected by the Iberian Society of Ictiology (SIBIC), which urges its inclusion in the Spanish Catalogue of Threatened Species in the endangered species category and the immediate prohibition of its sport fishing.
