The Spanish Observatory on Racism and Xenophobia (OBERAXE), under the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, has detected 190,000 hate messages on social networks with racist and xenophobic content only in July 2025 – a “peak” that coincides with the events of Torre Pacheco – some 6,000 more than those recorded in the entire second half of the year (between April and June), when 184,096 were counted.
