The French appetite has enveloped frogs in Asia and Europe.

A group of scientists and veterinarians warn that the European, especially French, appetite for frog legs threatens amphibians in Asia and southeastern Europe. They call for better protection of the species most commonly traded for culinary delights. Amphibians are, after all, some of the most common species on the IUCN Red List of threatened species.
