US Air Force official warns of restrictions on US industrial base
The Pentagon is concerned about whether the US defense industrial base has sufficient capacity to simultaneously develop and produce the US Air Force's F-47 fighter jet and the US Navy's sixth-generation F/A-XX, Military Watch magazine reports.
The US F-47 sixth-generation fighter jet program has entered a critical phase, with the Air Force saying the fighter's design is still on track and its first flight could take place in 2028.
