UAB Refinis, which built a plant for the extraction of precious metals from catalysts, has started operations since 2021. The plant can process about 2,500 tons of automotive catalysts per year, from which 99.95% pure rhodium, palladium and platinum will be extracted. The volume is planned to be expanded in the future.
