The famous lawyer Isabelle Coutant-Peyre, who had notably defended and then married the terrorist Carlos, has died

She was considered an unclassified criminal, and one of her relatives said she succumbed to cancer on Friday morning.

The French lawyer Isabelle Coutant-Peyre, who notably defended Youssouf Fofana and the terrorist “Carlos”, died at the age of 70.

Isabelle Coutant-Peyre died Friday, after a career as a lawyer where she defended the leader of the “Barbarian Gang” Youssouf Fofana or the Venezuelan terrorist Carlos, whom she married in 2001.
