The European Union will pay for transportation of 40,000 tons of Ukrainian cereals on two ships, as part of a Kiev initiative aimed at exporting cereals to vulnerable countries, the president of the European Commission announced this Saturday.

The EU pays for the transportation of 40,000 tons of Ukrainian cereals to vulnerable countries

The initiative aims to provide free cereals to at least five million people in countries such as the Sudan, Yemen, Kenya, and Nigeria by the end of spring 2023.
