EU and US close in on critical minerals deal to curb China dominance
A strategic minerals pact between the EU and US is edging closer, aimed at tightening supply chains and reducing dependence on China. The agreement could reshape global resource competition and industrial security priorities.
The agreement could introduce incentives such as minimum prices that would favor suppliers outside of China.
They would also cooperate on standards, investments and joint projects, in addition to increasing coordination in the face of any supply disruption by countries such as China.
