The European Parliament takes a step towards better guaranteeing the confidentiality of sources

MEPs voted in favour of a text aimed, in principle, at protecting the independence and plurality of the media as well as the secrecy of sources. A regulation against which the French Senate gave an unfavorable opinion as early as December 2022.
